We accept applications on YER forms only, which there are two; Small Project Form for applications up to £4,999 and Large Project Form for applications between £5,000 to £14,999.

The next closing date for funding rounds is 31st March 2012

Rules for Grant Applications  

• All applications are requested in PDF format, including Ethics Committee approval and R/D clearance.
• Please use a font no less than 10 and stick to the form’s dimensions and word limits
• Applications for under £1,000 or to secure NERC AMRC status if funded elsewhere; will be subjected to an internal review not a full peer review.
• Applications with start dates within 6 months of the YER application deadline will not be considered.
• Applications from applicants/co-applicants/departmental addresses who have received funding from YER within the previous 12 months of the deadline will not be considered, unless YER is holding external monies for that application.
• Applications will only be funded if funding is available.
• Applications not meeting YER criteria will be returned for amendment to the Applicant(s). YER can only release funds to institutions, hospitals and universities not individuals and can only fund eye research in Yorkshire. Data collection outside the county is permitted.
• Applicants who attempt to influence the process or act unprofessionally will have their applications withdrawn immediately.
